– To mirror Women's EHF Champions League. It's the same competition – the men's competition is not superior to the women's competition. The title of "Champions League" wasn't originated with the men – it was introduced for both the women's and the men's side in 1993. In a competition that's so equalised (in most things but the prize money), I think we've moved past the time where the women's competition is seen as secondary to the men's competition and the "EHF Champions League" is synonymous with the men's competition. A clear distinction line between the two competitions have to be drawn here. The only thing they have in common is that it was/is a top-tier competition in the continent. However as this is a page devoted to the EHF Champions League the foundation date has to be changed to 1993 following the foundation of the European Handball Federation which took over the governance of the club competitions in Europe from the International Handball Federation before 1993/94. For the same reason the number of titles for FC Barcelona cannot be ten, but only nine - perhaps a little asterisk might do explaining they also won the IHF Champions Cup before the EHF Champions League was established. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.16.244.138 ( talk) 13:12, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
