Wherefore and how come is Elvira Coot "Grandma" Duck not in here? Did Don Rosa omit her? Or is it because she is only a Duck by marriage? Das Baz 15:29, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Phooey is fabulous and fantastic (in every sense of the words). There should be a Phooey Duck fan club, and a scholarly journal devoted to exploring the mystery of Phooey. Does he have name in other languages? In Spanish he should be called Javierito, in Russian Silly, and in Italian Que. Das Baz 15:29, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Image:Whaleofanadventure.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Neither Gus Goose nor Grandma Duck are sufficiently independently notable to justify their own articles. As such, they should be merged into this article. Neelix ( talk) 18:34, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
I wasn't involved in the decision to merge numerous Donald and Uncle Scrooge supporting characters into a single, vast "Duck Family" article, but the result looks unwieldy.
In particular, Gladstone Gander, Grandma Duck, and Fethry Duck, each having made thousands of appearances, deserve to keep Main Articles to themselves. It's especially odd that they weren't allowed to keep them when Ludwig Von Drake—a less-often-used relative—was allowed to keep his. Ramapith ( talk) 04:30, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
According to the Four Color Comic Edition 0649 "Duck Album", Gladstone Gander has a nephew named "Shamrock Gander". Mind you he bears only a single appearance and small importance. Deltasim ( talk) 16:56, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
I think it's weird the fixation of Italian cartoonists about blonde hair. Gladstone, Grandma, Miss Quackfaster and even Gyro are blonde in Italy. Not to mention those various Italian characters who are originally blonde, such as Brigitta MacBridge, Dickie Duck, Lorraine and Kitty Duckis (neighbors of Grandma), Loretta (Brigitta's niece), Witch Matilda (a niece of Magica), Granny De Spell (Italian version of Magica's grandma), Mimi (Gus Goose's girlfriend), Pandy Pap (an environmentalist), Molly McGold (another Scrooge's romantic interest) and Lorelei (a girlfriend of Gyro). Phew! Well, as far as I know, Duckburg isn't a city of Denmark. I love yellow color a lot, so, please, don't misunderstand me. I'm just pointing out this fact here. This was recently added to the article:
She Recently appeared in the Robot Chicken episode Some Like it hitman voiced by Mila Kunis. In this sketch, she appears as a prostitute, and was killed off at the end of the sketch. Later in that sketch, Huey, Duey and Louie wondred if they could see their mom again.
Is this really necessary? It seems out of place. Most of the other characters don't seem to have mentions of non-Disney appearances either. JIP | Talk 20:20, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
In the Dutch Donald Duck weekly magazine Gijs Gans (Gustav) is frequently shown to not be related to the Ducks. He is simply Grandma Duck's farmhand. I have no original source for this on hand though and I don't know if one magazine's difference from standard canon merits acknowledgment here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.239.95.187 ( talk) 20:18, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
There is so much fanfic speculation on this page ("Character A may/must/must not be related to Character B" etc. etc.) that I barely know where to start... and every time I fix one entry, I discover more speculation has been added to other entries. It will take *hours* to clean up this page (and I don't have the time). Whoever you are: please stop. Add only the facts, as printed in official comic books/shown in official cartoons etc.! 85.81.82.15 ( talk) 19:35, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
What does Daphne Duck do here? Isn't she Warner Bros. character rather than Disney's? Ivellios1988 ( talk) 14:11, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
The entry for Dexter Duck states that the character only appeared in one single Duck comic. Since there must be THOUSANDS of characters who only appeared in one single story, why should this one be considered notable enough to be included in Wikipedia? 62.78.230.2 ( talk) 21:20, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
Humperdink is listed as being the father of Upsy Duck... Dugan Duck is listed as being Fethry's half-sister's son... All information I have never seen anywhere else. Where does this tree come from? Is it fan speculation? 85.81.82.15 ( talk) 21:59, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

How come Gus is mentioned to be Elvira's grandson, when in the family tree drawing they come from different branches altogether? If the family tree drawing is correct, he is her grandnephew.
