Is this article correct ? Because it would implies an OPPOSITE meaning of the word downscaling: in climate change scenario it would means to bring some climate forecast from a low resolution down to a higher resolution, in computer sciences to bring down the resolution from a high resolution to a lower one...

Yeah the two meanings are opposite. I think the page for computer image downscaling is Spatial anti-aliasing, so I have added a WP:HATNOTE. I think a hatnote is the correct thing to do, but someone please fix it if I have linked to the wrong article. Adpete ( talk) 23:11, 22 December 2021 (UTC)
The lead sentence currently says, "Downscaling is any procedure to infer high-resolution information from low-resolution variables." After looking at some of the references (and the titles of every single reference), and some articles like Image scaling, I am coming to the conclusion that: the lead sentence is too broad; that this definition only applies in climate science; and that in computer graphics the opposite word is used for the same idea ("Upscaling"), though in computer graphics the techniques are very different. So, I am going to add something like "In the field of climate science" to the lead sentence, to narrow the scope of the article. Adpete ( talk) 04:56, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
This article is the primary reason i think a lot of people are now confusing image scaling with whatever this article is in reference to. Ive clearly seen it. Its one of the primary reasons why people think DLSS is a downscalar. Work really needs to be done to differentiate the two in a much better fashion that whats done. 2600:6C64:4A3F:4C2C:C873:9301:65A2:DCD5 ( talk) 01:13, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
