I have heard that this station is to be axed during infrastructure improvements as it is too at risk from flooding. Btline ( talk) 18:23, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
What a load of rubbish. Except in the most exceptional circumstances, all trains to/from Aber and Barmouth split or join at Machynlleth and this has always been the case. And currently there is no meaningful connection at Dovey for north/south journeys except for one southbound journey around 8am. Any sane person will always travel to/from machynlleth where there is a snack bar rather than hang around for an hour at Dovey. And the local access is a well-established footpath clear enough for anyone to see. Flying Stag ( talk) 12:41, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
