Holy cow, this page is in major need of work. There is a lot of important information missing, and there is a lot of irrelevant or unimportant information included. I know a good deal about the dorsal raphe, but have never edited a Wikipedia page. To take a small step in that direction I'll first propose some changes here and see if anybody has any feedback. -RAM
Article sections I'd propose:
1. Basic overview - serotonergic brainstem nucleus, the main source of serotonin to forebrain
2. Role in controlling organism's physiology/behavior - general behavioral state, anxiety/depression/stress
3. Neurochemistry - classical neurotransmitters expressed (5-HT, GABA, DA, glutamate? [vglut3]), neuropeptides co-expressed
4. Anatomy - afferents, efferents
This page is very cluttered with information about different things all over the place. Someone with a solid base of knowledge in this subject should fix it up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jovack ( talk • contribs) 08:42, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Suicide is not something that happens to a human being like a heart attack or an Epileptic seizure. Suicide is a complex action and should not be in the article.-- Mark v1.0 ( talk) 15:01, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
