I believe that many bits in this article contradict my personal experience. Blue Spider 18:44, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
Greetings from DisneyQuest!
It's POSSIBLE to edit from DisneyQuest despite the sticky old systems they have? Nice :P Jennytablina 12:06, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
The Internet kiosks don't accept cookies, so you can't log in. You can still edit as an anonymous user, though. -- Benjamin Geiger 05:32, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
They didn't remove the pay cards because they wanted to, they were sued by another big game company who patented it. How do I word that? Luigi30 20:48, 10 Dec 2004 (UTC)
The system was developed by American Express, which was sued by an independent company. So Disney took the technology out to prevent future problems.
They still use the play cards at the arcade at SSR (Saratoga Springs Resort) and I'm guessing they also use them at the other small Disney resort arcades. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeepcomanche1 ( talk • contribs) 22:16, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
Just wanted to say that the edit made by 24.125.95.154 (since been rolled back) concerning the character in Virtual Jungle Cruise being Wayne Szalinski from the "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" movie is technically true; cast members being trained at DisneyQuest are instructed that it is him, however there is no hard reference to this in the actual game portion of the attraction. -- Comthought 05:33, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Just wanted to say that everyone inside of Quest denies the shutdown rumor. -- Comthought 13:30, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
Thats because the new 5 year plan has been rolled out for the building. And it is Wayne Szalinski, just not the original voice.
I thought it should be mentioned that before they built DQ in WDW, they actually had this "indoor amusement park" in Chicago. I remember going to it a number of times in 1999 and 2000. I don't know when it closed, but I supposed it must have been a "test market" to see how successful it would be. Before it was DisneyQuest, I believe it was an MTV store, and now it is something else. But I still have one of the cards for all the games that says DisneyQuest Chicago. Were they planning to open them up all over the country? -- Travlr23 14:47, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Is this park suitable for grown ups? I will be spending a few days in Orland, and it sounds like DQ is the Disney version of Gameworks, or, like the article said, Dave and Buster restaurants, where grown ups (mid 20's) can play video games. Thanks... Quase 05:49, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Can anyone backup or verify the recent edit that claims an original planned location in Canada? I have never heard this. -- Comthought 20:12, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Since the rumor of Quest's closure has pretty much long since been debunked, does anyone object to removing the bit talking about the rumor that links to the false insider blog? -- Comthought ( talk) 06:10, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Actually it's for real this time. Clouding on July 3rd. :( TheProdigyFan213 ( talk) 23:07, 13 June 2017 (UTC)
> On the fourth floor, there was a redemption area that would cost extra ("Midway on the Moon"). Players could exchange tickets won at games of skill for various prizes.
Huh? "A redemption area that would cost extra"? Anyone know what that means? SomeAvailableName ( talk) 08:15, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
I seem to remember something about Disney selling DQ franchises. Were these plans cancelled? 74.100.60.53 ( talk) —Preceding undated comment added 07:18, 2 May 2011 (UTC).
I await a proper editor to properly correct this page, but for over a month now the "ride the comix" ride has now closed.
As someone who still works at DisneyQuest, I'll tell you why it was closed very simply:
The ride uses very similar technology as Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride. The parts for these rides simply don't exist, for the company who made these parts bankrupted many years ago. A choice was made to terminate one ride, and at the very least Aladdin has the potential to be enjoyable, while ride the comix had a 99% chance of simply not being enjoyable.
You do not have to take my word for it, but I promise you it is the truth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:39FD:2CF0:BCF6:7C2A:76A8:7E91 ( talk) 00:17, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
