This has been discussed over and over again in this article but again it seems the same anonymous IP is return obsessing about making him Italian.
Please we have dozens of Argentine sources explaining in detail who all of his ancestors were.
Argentine RELIABLE Sources discussing his ancestry. NONE mention Italian descent. ALL mention Spanish and Croatian descent of the ancestors on both sides of the family:

This article states that Franco Baresi was a teammate of Maradona’s. Baresi was never a teammate at either club or National level, and is a factual error. Please correct this. Thanks. Koaraktor ( talk) 02:36, 25 August 2021 (UTC)

Change "The first goal was an unpenalized handling foul known as the "Hand of God"" to "The first goal is considered a hand ball when it deflects off of Maradona's head touching his hand and scoring, this is also known as the "Hand of God or Mano de Dios"." It has been a really long time since I last edited on Wikipedia, so I got curious to see if there was anything new on my page.
Well, one of my edits on this page was reverted for "vandalism" so I want to make some clarifications.
I'm disputing this line:
"Maradona received offers to join other clubs, including River Plate who offered to make him the club's best paid player.[27] Nevertheless, Maradona expressed his will to be transferred to Boca Juniors, the team he always wanted to play for.[28]"
Maradona has made many statements regarding his failed transfer to River. The article cites an English source even though there are so many other sources of him saying otherwise.

Maradona himself said that he was hoping to play for River: "Tenía la ilusión de jugar en River, pero Aragón Cabrera (River's president of the time) me derrumbó la ilusión". On top of that, he admitted to be a fan of Independiente before transferring to Boca. Ricardoread ( talk) 20:45, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
Both Alf Common and David Jack are believed to have both been twice transferred for record fees. Both are listed on the wikipedia transfer record progression with sources. 2800:A4:17BB:FC00:C021:10D5:9685:7717 ( talk) 16:16, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

In his individual honors it is stated as Maradona winning a Balon d'or in 1986 and 1990. Which is impossible because during those times only Europeans could win the Ballon d'Or which wasn't changed until 1995 for players not born Europeans to also be able to win. So legends like Pele, Maradona, Hugo Sanchez never got to get their own Balon d'Or for not being Europeans. OhNoesNoey ( talk) 01:54, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
It seems remiss not to include the well-known details about how the teenaged Maradona almost joined Sheffield United in the section covering Argentinos Juniors? [1] Culloty82 ( talk) 12:22, 26 July 2022 (UTC) Culloty82 ( talk) 12:22, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
This article deserves to be at the minimum a Good Article rating. I am currently working on sorting out the refs, expanding them and fixing the broken ones. I will also try archiving them before I submit a GAN. But thought I would ask for peoples inputs on how this article can reach GA status and what needs to be done.
