The result of the move request was: moved. Supporters argued, essentially based on
WP:UE, that we should use the the primary spelling that is used in English-language sources. This spelling was found to be with the tilde but without the acute accent, as proposed. (

Oppose Anglo speakers wrote Diana Ordonez; for the americans (and anglo speakers) the Ñ letter and accent does not exist. But she was register as Diana Ordóñez in CONCACAF Official match report

The issue here is not as you described though: as you see above, all the English-language sources does include ñ so that's not the point. None of the English-language sources includes ó and most of the Spanish-language sources don't include ó either (like her own federation FMF). Also considering that we're at English-language WP, the main issue here is whether her last name is Ordóñez or Ordoñez, and almost all sources point to the latter being
WP:COMMONNAME.
