That's not how this works. It's not entirely unheard of, but it's rare for a recount to actually overturn the election night count — so it's Batten's seat until proven otherwise, not Shandro's. In the unlikely event that the recount actually does flip the seat back to Shandro, then we'll deal with that when we get there, but in the interim the incoming MLA is Batten until we hear otherwise.
