Can anyone help with a timeline for completion of synaptic development in humans at the end of "adolescence"? I have found this: http://www.mybrainfacts.com/cont01/017.html but it is a little hazy about the "pruning" stage and when this is completed or how we might determine the change points between 1. the "mass" pruning I think the article is referring to, 2. the "finalization" of "adolescent" pruning", and 2. the "ongoing" generation/pruning of mature adulthood. This article http://www.fcs.uga.edu/ext/bbb/brainTimeAdolescence.php suggests: "Myelination of the frontal lobes is not complete until very late in adolescence. Some researchers estimate that frontal-lobe development continues until age 25 to 30."

Neural development in humans →
Development of the nervous system in humans – This article in fact describes how the nervous system develops, and so should get a name that describes its scope. Secondly this would move the title towards an article that lay readers are more able to understand. Thirdly we should drop the "in humans" as there is no article that it needs to differentiate from.

Suggest moving this page to Development of the nervous sytem - almost all if not all, is copied from the page. Target page is more comprehensive. -- Iztwoz ( talk) 09:19, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
