Hi, you deleted something I'd recently added to Dervla Murphy. I suppose it is wishful thinking, but surely there has to be some way to acknowledge the unusual personal choice she made, to bear what would have been called a bastard, in that time and place? This reflects on her, her strength of character and iconoclasm. If you know the writing about her better than I do, can you add a comment? Thanks BrainyBabe ( talk) 02:43, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Where does the father's name come from? Not mentioned in his WP article, nor in the source given for the next sentence, and I don't remember coming across it in any of her books or other interviews etc? PamD ( talk) 17:36, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
I'm reading the second book about her travels with Rachel (Indus la de da). Dervla occasionally metions Rachel's diary, and I was wondfering if this has ever been published. Any more contemporary memoirs (of Rachel) would also add valuable insight into their travels. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.40.46.83 ( talk) 13:06, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
The lead needs to be expanded to properly summarize the article. Hekerui ( talk) 21:51, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Not to cast aspersions on Dervla Murphy's enjoyable writings, but has anybody seen a discussion of whether all the events she describes are factual, or embroidered travel tales? Pete unseth ( talk) 16:07, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
