There seems to be only very limited coverage of this topic. Where there is coverage, it is not independent of the Asian Gaelic Games. For example, this 2015 piece and this 2016 piece (both in the Irish Times) only discuss the cup/trophy in the context of the broader Asian Gaelic Games competition that it forms part of. Resolved It's been several weeks since I opened this thread (and added the merge tags). Not having heard any other thoughts, I've gone ahead with the merge/redirect.
