from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denison_Smock page :
”a light sand-green coloured denim material hand-painted with dark green and chocolate brown stripe camouflage.”.
Are you sure? What is the source of that information? I have read that a silk screen process was used and the ”hand painting” is a myth brought about by elements of the pattern resembling pain brush strokes. See for example: http://www.kamouflage.net/camouflage/en_00073.php
I understood the Denison to be a headover garment until the '59-Pattern introduced a full-length zip. However, I've read anecdotal evidence online that suggests individuals may have modified, or got the unit tailor to modify, their jackets with full length zips, possibly removed from the old first issue olive green jump smocks. I need references or photographs to back this up, before it can be included in the entry. Dom Damian ( talk) 01:56, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
