The second external link was to a deleted article, so I removed it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.8.194.242 ( talk • contribs) 13:17, November 9, 2006
Is the reader to understand that absolutely no tools had been used in the process of digging the canal (i.e. no picks, shovels, etc.) or does the term apply to the absence of mechanical tools (machines), where usage of the hand itself is minimal (not so in the case of picks and shovels).
Thank you!

This article needs a map to give an idea of where the canal runs and put it in context of its surroundings. Toddst1 ( talk) 04:47, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

The map of Raritan Bay is interesting(?). A map of the route of the canal is really neeeded. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DGerman ( talk • contribs) 20:24, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
The first paragraph of this page is about the Raritan Bay. It's a little confusing since most pages start with a paragraph about the subject. Epearlma ( talk) 13:10, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
