We shouldn't have three Macy's in the same mall. Besides, where is the source that the Macy's store that divides the North and South wings of Del Amo Mall is going to close? -- Alarcon Hills 23:20, 16 April 2012 (UTC)
Oh wow, they are gonna have a renovation which will make the mall longer, and make a new 2 story wing will make Del Amo Mall larger than South Coast Plaza or even larger than Aventura Mall in terms of area and amount of services. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.35.20.25 ( talk) 01:33, 12 August 2014 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on

Wasn’t the mall to be part of some type of sailing school? It was owned by a rich Hong Kong investor (C Y Fung?), with the name supposedly a play upon his own initials (C Y = Seawise). I don’t believe the plan ever materialized. However he also purchased the former luxury liner Queen Elizabeth as part of the university scheme. The liner was a victim of arson and scuttled in Hong Kong Harbor. When the wreck was broken up, certain artifacts (bell, anchor, plaques?) were removed and put on display at the mall.
These statement are only vague recollections, but should provide enough information for an experienced editor to add the necessary information. It may only be a matter of linking already existing information; as these facts may already be contained in the articles for the Queen Elizabeth, the University, or the tycoon himself. It would be interesting to know if the artifacts were still currently on display. Best of Luck! 2601:98A:601:FAB0:F402:5339:84E8:C27B ( talk) 01:25, 9 February 2023 (UTC)
