Hello all,
I believe we will have a surprise about the birthdate of Rod Temperton who died lask week (BBC). BBC and others medias begins to say that he died aged 66, hence he can't be born 9 October 1947, but on FamilySearch we have a 1949 year for his birth. He is probably born 9 October 1949 -> https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVQB-R7XG Thanks. -- Danielvis08 ( talk) 7:58 am, 5 October 2016, Wednesday (1 month, 3 days ago) (UTC−5)
October 12th shows deaths of BOTH Robert Bateman and Sonny Sanders, two motown guys who started their careers in the same group. But Sanders's death is reported only in a "find a grave" source and does not seem to be in google news. Please find a better source. 2602:304:CDA0:9220:71E6:9F67:12A4:437D ( talk) 06:22, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
I'm sorry to be a pest, but this is not a reliable source. In fact, there are no reliable sources anywhere online. They are all cannibalizing each other, beginning with the original "find a grave" page that led to Wikipedia reporting the death -- a page posted by a woman who specializes in posting motown deaths, but posted the same day (how could there be a grave?) as the purported death. It is just too much of a coincidence that Robert Bateman died the same day -- and every Bateman obit mentions Sanders without mentioning Sanders's death. Obviously, the Find a Grave poster confused Bateman and Sanders. Again, there is not a single reliable source for Sanders's death. 2602:304:CDA0:9220:4D4A:4414:B632:E1D5 ( talk) 01:03, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
Rusted AutoParts, you seem to be enforcing arbitrary rules in this edit. Is there somewhere that consensus was gained regarding this? I know you don't like animals and plants being included on this list, and I cannot help but think that is why you're removing this.
Dozens of outlets are reporting Pedals as dead. Monday, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection announced they believed he was dead based on the carcass of a bear with similar injuries and appearance. As there's no birth certificates or DNA samples, this is as close to a confirmation as possible. This is a death, and a notable one. How are we supposed to list it here if not based on a governmental agency's (who has been tracking him via a sighting hotline) announcement? EvergreenFir (talk) 04:15, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
