First off, COI: I live in Fairbanks and have had approximately 15 years worth of dealings with Scott Johnson stretching back to when he was an
MP at
Fort Wainwright(note: faulty memory, I had Johnson mixed up with another AST officer in my recollection of the former MP – the rest of the statement is correct). Most of these dealings were professional in nature, though very, very few of them can be considered positive. Saying anything more than that requires divulging details regarding my livelihood, which I don't care to do. For these reasons, I'd just as soon not be involved in this. However, did I see an edit summary stating that we can't include him just because one particular source doesn't mention whether or not he appeared on
AST? I held off on reading the coverage of this story until this morning, when I had some time to digest it. I didn't want to spend a lot of time searching with my phone last night, even though talk on the streets around town since yesterday has focused almost exclusively on this story. I noticed that there's A LOT of coverage, and that most of the coverage is because of the TV show; news stories about cop killings in general seem to be boilerplate material nowadays. Following coverage, it appeared that earlier stories mentioned only Rich, but numerous later stories included mention that Johnson appeared on the show.

Shortening his credit on Batman: The Animated Series to simply Batman is misleading. The animated series was never referred to as just Batman. It has always been referred to by the longer title or by Batman TAS. If the entry for Zimbalist is too long, then it is Maverick that should be cut, as he was only a guest star on that series as compared to multiple seasons starring on the other shows listed.
I was a regular contributor to "Deaths In ...." but stopped in 2011 because user RAP was constantly trying to be the sole figure in deciding the credits listed for entries when actors and athletes were listed. I see little has changed here in 3 years. BurienBomber ( talk) 20:10, 3 May 2014 (UTC)

Things get challenged, disputed, called into question, etc. because its how things go about. Had a little back-and-forth with User:Canuckian89 over whether the guy was 88 or 89. Seemingly ended when he provided a source, but now I see that source has its own problem. It calls him 88, but refers to a "detailed obituary" from Steelers.com at the end, and that says 89.

As will be seen from this obituary posted online ( http://www.obitsforlife.com/obituary/898063/Nabess-Charles.php), Charles Nabess, despite the age quoted in the source used (68), was in fact 67, having not been due to celebrate his 68th birthday until June 11th this year. Whether it is worth altering the entry to reflect this is up to those interested, as he remains and will remain a redlink. It also depends, of course, on whether the link I quote is considered a reliable source. I merely wished to flag this line of enquiry up. Best wishes. 86.112.67.18 ( talk) 21:58, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

Loewenstein's nationality is a mess. He is from the House of Wittelsbach and has several famous relatives along side him. He was born after WWI when Germany took over the Kingdom of Bavaria, however, Bavaria has to be mentioned like the case of Quebec or other places in the world, Bavarians feel they are different and more special than the rest of German citizenry. Loewenstein also was born on the island of Majorca which is a territory of the Spanish. When WWII broke out, there was a difference of opinions between the Royals and Hitler in Germany. Many ended up fleeing Germany and settling elsewhere. Loewenstein's family took him to England where he settled, went to school at Oxford, became a high end banker and eventually guided the Stones to their fortune. So I am trying a Spanish-born British-German Bavarian aristocrat as his tag line, unless someone has a great objection. Sunnydoo ( talk) 07:24, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
