The Menai Bus Service trading name was retained until the Southtrans trading name was adopted. As at least one Hadfield repaint into Deane livery carried Menai signwriting, [1] would appear unlikely the Deanes Coaches name was used. Only reference to the Deane name was in the legal entity, Deanes Coaches (South) Pty Ltd. [2]
The image [3] clearly does display the Deanes Coaches name, however it is from 1995/96, not 1989 as:
Can only think perhaps it was a mistake at the spraypainters that saw the Deane's signwriting applied, as the Southtrans brand was retained until the Connex sale.
