Here are the issues I found:

• "and As of 2012" as of; I'd just remove the as of ideally though.
• "Mirkin pitched to the series' story editors for several years without success, because" no comma needed.
• "Mirkin had to film each episode in two days." was there a particular reason for that?
• " to some the show's " some of
• In the subsequent work section, three of four paragraphs start with "In [year]". Try mixing it up a bit.
