This entry has no information about Lindley's personal life. Is he married? Does he have children? The Wiki biography of Loretta Young's son, Christopher, says they are related but there is no information about that here. This is just a section that is typically included in the Wiki biography of notable people. 69.125.134.86 ( talk) 09:16, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
Now I'll tell you right now, Lindley's a nice guy and all that, but he's the strangest guy I've ever met in the world. There's nobody, nobody you've ever met like that like him. He has a thing for polyester you wouldn't believe. David Lindley got disturbed at his wife for not letting him decorate the house. Can you imagine what the house would look like if Lindley would decorate it? Lindley's like Pee Wee Herman with long hair. K8 fan ( talk) 15:53, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
The biography of David Lindley on the iTunes store lists as one of his accomplishments the following:
"A native of Southern California, Lindley began playing banjo as a teenager and soon added the fiddle. By his late teens, he had acquired a reputation as California's best young instrumentalist, winning the Topanga Canyon banjo and fiddle competition five times."
How do I cite this as a source? At the bottom of the bio it says "Content provided by All Music Guide (c) 2009 All Media Guide, LLC" -- Cdw ♥'s ♪ ♫( talk) 15:58, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
The lead claimed that Lindley composed, etc "extensively" for film. Must have been written/included by a friend/flack. @ IMDB his total credits in 3 categories number 12. Not extensive. Compare to J.J. Johnson, Benny Carter, Carol Kaye. Those are musicians with "extensive" film credits. IMDB is a pretty reliable source for film credits, but NOT for biographies. Why are most of the albums listed under Solo Discography actually albums that Lindley did with other musicians? For example the first four are all Kaleidoscope albums - obviously band efforts, with multiple writing credits. Many of the other albums listed even state "with so-and-so" right in the listing. I'm not sure what Wikipedia considers a solo effort exactly, but it can't be defined this broadly without losing all meaning. Leperflesh ( talk) 21:35, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
