This page appears to require cleanup; it contains subjective statements such as "Like Paris Hilton, the two sons have questionable talent but are good looking."
I have Best Of Me 1985, River Of Love, A Touch Of China, And The Best Of Me 2002. If Anyone knows how to make the pages ill give the track lists. I just copyd this talk link thing and changed the name, no clue how to do it. Lunar Eclipz ( talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 05:55, 29 September 2008 (UTC).
I find this line to be incomprehensible- "In 1992, he struck Ben Vereen with a car while Vereen was walking along the Pacific Coast Highway. It was ruled unintentional, although hundreds of thank-you notes poured in for months following the incident." Thank-you notes? If this is accurate it requires elaboration. -Rob 60.42.35.153 01:02, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
I second the above comment, that paragraph needs further elaboration/removal. - Charles
The tone of this article reads like that found on a fansite. It is full of trivia, NPOV or OR statements, and generally unreferenced. It also doesn't conform to style guidelines. I moved the biographical information out of the lead into a subsection. The discussion of his marriages and children needs to be more explicit, it is currently indecipherable. The page is not in bad shape but needs the attention of an experienced editor to get appropriate tone, style, and citations. Madcoverboy 06:31, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
I know this article needs work and that there's room for improvement as far as 'tactical' article writing is concerned. I've done much of the editing and appriciate whoever put info about David's personal life in the separate section 'Personal', b/c I wouldn't have known how to do it myself. Understand and bear in mind that this website isn't very user-friendly when it comes to posting various things, expecially in the 'disussion' area of each article. I'm sorry if the posted info isn't up to your uppity-duppity, hoity-toity, formal, proper, professional standards. I would do a better job, but I just don't have time. I'm very articulate, but somehow, I can't seem to get this article to be, either.
Mind you, I'm new to this Wikipedia thing and don't come around here as often b/c the mods have been really snotty [not to mention unprofessional] towards me. Moreover, I just don't have time to stay up here [and waste time] fooling around all day long; I've got better things to do. So if anyone thinks they can edit the article to more 'tactical, professional grammatical' standards, then help yourself; knock yourself out and feel free to assess [and revise] it to measure up to the Wikipedia article guidelines. By the way, the information I got for the article come strictly from various articles [and interviews] I've collected on David Foster over the past few years.
I also want to add that as a big fan of David Foster, I wouldn't dare deliberately post any information about him that is false, misleading, offensive, defametory, or libelous. The only reason I came around here to start with is to find out basic info about either famous, well-known, or just people I know of, like their birth names, middle names, dates of birth, birthplace, parents' names, history, etc. I didn't know that various strangers could tamper with the various articles from time to time until sometime later, when I'd stuck around here long enough [which was a BIG mistake, to say the least].

I find it ironic that this section should begin with a misspelling of the word "grammar."
I went ahead and made a few changes. I am not an experienced editor nor do I know much about Foster. I removed extraneous trivia such as "On the track, Montag's fiancée Spencer Pratt was featured rapping." Biased statements were altered or removed to recognize NPOV.
The following paragraph was removed:
His early childhood needs more information to include his introduction to the piano. I suppose it could be stuck elsewhere in the article, but risks sounding trivial.
I decided to keep this, but slapped on the end of another paragraph. I am now doubting this decision and am thinking about axing the sentence:
There are still some issues with the article, but as it is Christmas, I don't want to spend anymore time at the computer.
MangyMaestro ( talk) 20:03, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
It should be added that Foster has recently taken 11-year-old Jackie Evancho "under his wing" as it were.

I've found conflicting information on this page. On the page Wildflower_(Skylark_song), the song is credited to Doug Edwards and Dave Richardson, as it is also on the page Skylark_(Canadian_band). However, on this page, David Foster is credited for writing the song. I'm not an experienced editor, and not sure where to look for official confirmation of who actually wrote the song. I think it may be a simple misunderstanding, since there were two "Daves" in the band. Resinguy ( talk) 00:29, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
Foster co-wrote the song "Sweet Dreams" with Jon Anderson from the second Yes album Time and a Word released in 1970. Actually, a differnet David Foster worked with Yes, so I removed this sentence. 172.129.128.20 ( talk) 03:53, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
"He also produced Houston's record breaking single ' I Will Always Love You', the best selling single worldwide with sales over 11 million." I removed this because a) of course he also produced it, he produced the album it's on, and b) it's not the best selling single worldwide (it's #8) and it doesn't have sales over 11 million (though it does have sales over 10 million). Having only just heard of David Foster for the first time, I'm wondering if he's any relation to the 19th Century hit songwriter Stephen Foster. I have removed the sentence about John Stevens' debut album Red as it was overtly and shamelessly self-promoting, and most likely was added by the obscure singer himself. This type of unscrupulous advertising of oneself in an article is not permissible if Wikipedia aspires as a community to be a scholarly and respectable source of information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.48.51.127 ( talk) 19:22, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

humanitarian work In 2008 David Foster performed a concert called "HITMAN, DAVID FOSTER AND FRIENDS" in Las Vegas, Nevada, inviting artists like Kenny G, Andrea Boccelli, Katherine McPhee, Peter Cetera, Celine Dion, Brian Mcnight among others, and part of the proceeds from this concert went to support various humanitarian causes, especially African children, certainly a very laudable and generous efforts-- 200.66.106.59 ( talk) 04:31, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
You say he has 5 kids, but don't list the name of the 5th, who I think was with the 3rd wife. She should be added in. Davids's first daugther is Allison and she is not from his first wife
Also, you say Linda filed for divorce, but Foster's autobiography claims that he divorced her after reading comments about her after the reality TV show. This needs to be checked. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Skysong263 ( talk • contribs) 05:05, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
I'm promoting this article to C class, though it's almost certainly B or higher. I just haven't followed the checklist personally. These are the variables that can be added to each wikiproject statement above, as they are reached, which can then result in promotion to B class. Again, it might already be worth B class or above, but it apparently just hasn't been checked.
