Sanborn, to serve as maritime administrator, an important transportation appointment reporting directly to Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta. Mr. Sanford, a graduate of the U.S. Merchant Maritime Academy, joined DPW in 2005. I'm not sure, but I seem to recall that this person was hip deep in the controversy because he had gone from being an employee of a foreign-government-controlled company to being a U.S. government administrator involved in the sale of critical U.S. ports to that same foreign government. bd2412 T 18:55, 1 December 2008 (UTC) reply
