There also is a Science-Fiction genre called "Dark Future". Basically it is a generic term for the sub-genres Dystopia, Cyberpunk or End time. Is it possible to write a short entry ? - Chase
The current revision says: "In 2005 the Dark Future setting was brought back as a series of novels published by Games Workshop's fiction imprint Black Flame. They updated the setting to 2021, and released several new titles." That seems ambiguous. Do the new novels took place in a new continuity, in the same continuity 26 years later, or in the same continuity with just the years retconned ( floating timeline style)? -- DocumentN ( talk) 18:08, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Probably worth mentioning - especially the artwork that was used. The box art is a clear homage (or rip-off, if you aren't feeling charitable) to Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.66.19.90 ( talk) 09:05, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Worth mentioning, perhaps, how this game system is fairly simplistic, compared with Car Wars, for example. Maneuvers are almost entirely limited to lane changes... and a car going at 19mph will never overtake a car doing 2mph, due to the system of speed 'bands'.
The thing about using 'dummy' dropped weapon counters is also a significant indicator of the way the game mechanics work, leaving quite a bit to luck rather than strategy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.66.19.90 ( talk) 09:07, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
