Danny Lynch was not "Dummy" Lynch

Baseball-Reference.com previously listed this player as Dummy Lynch, until recently (late April / early May 2021) changing it to Danny Lynch. Searching for "Dummy Lynch" via newspapers.com for the years that Lynch played professionally (1948–1954) gets zero hits, while the term "Danny Lynch" cubs gets over 1500 hits. Lynch was notable for being declared a free agent after the Pittsburgh Pirates were fined for apparently routing a bonus to the player through his father ( news article here). Retrosheet lists this player as "Danny Lynch", and has for an unknown amount of time. I was able to find one reference, here, to "Dummy" Lynch actually being Thomas Lynch (pitcher) who played in 1884 for the Chicago White Stockings (an early name for the Cubs). Based on the above, Danny Lynch was never known as "Dummy" Lynch, while Thomas Lynch may have had the nickname. I will request a move to make the name of this article Danny Lynch (baseball), which currently redirects here. Dmoore5556 ( talk) 03:31, 9 May 2021 (UTC) reply

@ Dmoore5556: Suggest a bold move here given that this appears to just be an error. Not sure you need to wait out a requested move. Go Phightins ! 05:16, 9 May 2021 (UTC) reply
Hi Go Phightins!, I've opened a request as WP:RM/TR for an admin to make the move; I can't do it directly as there is already a redirect "in the way". Dmoore5556 ( talk) 05:19, 9 May 2021 (UTC) reply
Dmoore5556, Ah. I can do that then. Go Phightins ! 05:21, 9 May 2021 (UTC) reply
Dmoore5556,  Done. Let me know if I screwed up (I don't deal with redirects very often), but I think it is right now. Thanks. Go Phightins ! 05:23, 9 May 2021 (UTC) reply
Go Phightins!, looks fine, thanks very much. Dmoore5556 ( talk) 05:28, 9 May 2021 (UTC) reply
