Hey, do you all see the top of the talk page ( Specifically, Mjblackadarr ( talk · contribs), Tlw225 ( talk · contribs), Charliexperienz ( talk · contribs))? It says "This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the Dan Howell article. This is not a forum for general discussion of the article's subject." And in the talk page guidelines it says this, "Stay on topic: Talk pages are for discussing the article, not for general conversation about the article's subject (much less other subjects). Keep discussions focused on how to improve the article. If you want to discuss the subject of an article, you can do so at Wikipedia:Reference desk instead. Comments that are plainly irrelevant are subject to archival or removal." Wikipedia's an archive of information, not fangirling/fanboying. If you want to do that, Wikipedia does have this: /info/en/?search=Wikipedia:Reference_desk . I get it if you're new, but please try to use Wikipedia properly. Please note that the name of his channel is Daniel Howell and not Danisnotonfire as of May 1st.

I would like to request that this page be moved from "Dan Howell" to "Daniel Howell", after the announcement of Daniel retiring the name "danisnotonfire" ( [1]). Although the main video dealt mainly with the "danisnotonfire" name, within the video, he also states that the change would be to "Daniel Howell" and not "Dan Howell", due to the reasons stated within the video. As I am not too sure about this, should this page be renamed to "Daniel Howell"?

i just thought i should inform you that his channel name is no longer 'danisnotonfire' as it is now 'Daniel Howell' i look forward to that being changed

Partly done: If you're referring to the infobox stating "danisnotonfire", from what I can tell with the template, this shouldn't be changed as it is a link to the channel, and since he channel link didn't change (like Daniel said in the video, he only changed the display name, while danisnotonfire is still the actual channel name), there's no need to change it. If you're referring to the body, this has already been done.

“Dan” shouldn’t be removed since that is what his mutuals address him as. In a live show he said he’ll always be Dan to us and there was no reason to start calling him Daniel just because of the channel name. Izzymendoza 714 ( talk) 21:58, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
