Old Man of Crete
The statue from Nebuchadnezzar's dream would seem, from appearances alone, to prefigure the image of the Old Man of Crete, the source of the rivers of Hell as described by Virgil in Dante's Inferno. But I can find no references to it anywhere in legend or scholarship.
