1. I am removing the word "extremist" from the lead sentence of the Christianity section as per
WP:WORDS.
2. I am adding a
which? tag to the section "These include some adherents of Mennonite, Hutterite, Baptist, Seventh-day Adventist, Church of Christ, Restorationist, and Holiness movement sects." as this section isn't cited and some of these categories are quite broad like Restorationist or or Holiness movement while Church of Christ can refer to many different independent movements. Does seem to agree with what it says on the
SDA page though.
3. I am removing the section on Jehovah's Witnesses due to not being particularly relevant, it is not a ban and I think most christian religions would "disfavor events where there might be sexually suggestive dancing". Also, the the reference for this section is a blog page (see
WP:Verifiability) when if it is an official position then there will be a better reference.

@ Wilyhawk:, I see that you've changed the page to say that Mormons "advocated dance and participated in recreational dancing since it was organized in 1830." If that's the case, Mormonism should probably be removed from the page entirely since they don't have a history of banning dancing. -- eggsyntax ( talk) 23:42, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
The heading on Islam includes both Muslim and Jewish beliefs/practices on dancing. The two religions are quite distinct and should be separated into their own sub-sections. Kwallet ( talk) 21:58, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
