Is this where Brazilian Rosewood Oil comes from?

good question, i dont think this species could be the one where the oil comes from. there is an essential oil, an oil for sealing exterior wood construction, such as decks. I have such a deck, made of "
brazilian redwood", and the rosewood oil i will use to seal it cant be from this tree, as harvesting is illegal. so i am not sure what the source is of this product.

It's an unrelated plant,
Aniba. Still somewhat protected. --
