This article seems to be focused too much on the studies, and not enough on the diet itself, which is probably what most people want to read about. The details of the study design etc. can probably be relegated to a separate page, with this page describing the diet itself in more detail. - Nren4237 ( talk) 12:33, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
Just follow the example given in the two already in the article. Post here or on my talk page if you have any questions.
There's likely a lot of similarities between these, and I recommend looking for more articles as sources. ··· 日本穣 ? · Talk to Nihon jo e 00:30, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
As usual, the American who wrote the article has forgotten that there are other countries in the world besides the USA. The NIH is an organisation based in the USA and not all countries. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.105.184.222 ( talk) 17:25, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Whoever wrote this should really, really, read about how to cite sources on Wikipedia. All but one references in this article were broken, I am fixing it now. -- elwood_j_blues ( talk) 19:02, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Other than scattered allusions (which can be summarised as "eat things everyone knows are healthy and reduce things that everyone knows are unhealthy), there's almost no info in this article to describe the DASH diet.
If I increase my fruit, veg, and grains, replace fatty meat with lean meat, and decrease my salt and saturated fats, am I on the DASH diet? Gronky ( talk) 13:23, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

I think one of the ways to improve this article is including some health benefits of the DASH diet. See the wiki article on the mediterranean diet for example. AlphanMangos ( talk) 19:32, 28 April 2022 (UTC)
