I've heard there was a DBS satellite TV receiver with a built in digital recorder that used VHS tape but a proprietary format incompatible with D-VHS and D-Theater.
With the release of component HD recorders (i.e. Hauppage HD-PVR), can we really say that D=VHS is the best way to archive encrypted video?
According to the article, "There has never been a D-Theater video release in region 2 or 3." However, the film One from the Heart is listed as Region 1/2/3 on the back cover. -- Evmore ( talk) 21:38, 20 July 2013 (UTC)
