I decided to expand my search for a photo of Ratufa affinis, by searching through other language Wikipedias, and I found a photo in the Thai language Wikipedia under the article on this squirrel. Here is the URL for this photo:
There are a couple of problems though: 1) I don't know how to connect a file in another language Wikipedia to an English language article.
2) It appears that this photo may not have proper copyright approval for its use. I ran the copyright statement attached to it through an online translator at http://www.stars21.com/translator/thai_to_english.html and the machine cranked out the following text as a translation:
The uploaded image is considered to be rightfully applied to bring the article contains only. This image is not approved, contract documents, free of a preliminary permit or license Creative Commons contract. This sounds like the Thai user who uploaded it to the Thai Wikipedia shouldn't have used it. If that's the case, then I will not want to use it either.
Any help in this matter is appreciated. -- Saukkomies talk 00:57, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I agree the photo is not the best - but it is a photo. Maybe we'll make note of that here (hey! I'm actually doing just that!) of the fact that we're using this photo for want of any other, but a better photo would be much appreciated. Thanks for the link to the Wikicommons help page. -- Saukkomies talk 01:19, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
