Davebed2: I removed the
WikiProject Crime banner because I believe articles about
Police services and similar law enforcement agencies fall outside the
scope of
WikiProject Crime and Criminal Biography. According to the
Peelian principles the role of the police is to prevent crime and disorder. Although a police service might investigate crime, and individual police officers might commit crime, the ultimate goal of a police service, itself, is for crime to be absent from the community it polices. While the police might play a significant role in certain criminal related events, the police service itself is not inherently a criminal related organisation, but a law enforcement one. -
