Living in Schleswig-Holstein I'm fascinated to learn that Hamburg is part of this German state. Next thing will probably be that Washington belongs to Pennsylvania or that London is in Sussex. Has anybody ever read such ... in a good old printed encyclopedia? What in the world makes so many people believe they should write publicly about things they have no more knowledge of than an elementary school kid? 84.141.133.223 ( talk) 11:41, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

This article was redirected and merged to 2012 Munich artworks discovery per consensus reached at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cornelius Gurlitt (art collector)) on 9 September 2017; I have unmerged it again today following relevant discussion at Talk:2012_Munich_artworks_discovery#Cornelius_Gurlitt, and will improve the article as needed utilising additional sources over the next little while. User Eli185 has changed some wording in the lead, introducing the word "stash" to the article for the first (and only) time. I am not 100% against this, but it smacks of the early sensationalist news reports before the true complexity and history of the collection was further revealed. In my other edits I have used "collection" but there are other terms possible too (cache?). Just wondering what other may think of the best terminology to describe the collection.
