– I have drafted this WP:PRIMARY TOPIC article to replace the current largely WP:DABCONCEPT disambiguation page. The container, conceptually, is one of the most important inventions in all of human history, making it possible to store and transport food. This is up there with fire and the wheel. Containers are ubiquitous, but so ingrained in our in our lives that we barely notice or think of their importance. This article addresses the need for recognition of the basic concept. Since there are a few meanings of "container" that are unrelated to physical objects made for containing other physical objects, the disambiguation page will continue to exist at the "(disambiguation)" title. bd2412 T 20:14, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
There is currently a proposed move at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Containers to have the project moved from WikiProject Containers to WikiProject Containers and Storages. - Jerium ( talk) 18:36, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
