A google search revealed to me that her real surname is more likely to be INGOLIA, rather than 'Ingoglia' as written in the main article. Can anyone enlighten us further ?

Not likely. Though I'm sure the name has become corrupted over the years because many non-Italian speakers find it hard to get that the second "G" is silent.
Ingoglia - Southern Italian: from Goglia, with the addition of the southern prefix in- ‘belonging to the family of’ (see Imbimbo). [1]
