"During the consideration of its adoption by the presbyteries, conservatives who desired the continuance of strict subscription to only Westminster and the Catechisms campaigned against its inclusion!"
Putting an exclamation point there makes that an editorial statement, not a statement of fact. The exclamation point says, in essence, "and can you imagine such a thing?". That's not reporting, that's editorializing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MikeZZ ( talk • contribs) 18:35, 16 May 2011 (UTC)

Most of the first paragraph of the "Historical context" section appears to be WP: Synthesis as it is sourced from a "Religion in Post-World War II America" that doesn't mention the Confession or the Presbyterian Church specifically at all. The information about the vitality of the denomination also appears to be synthesis. The actual context of Confession is an attempt to distance the Presbyterian Church from the overly rigid doctrine of inerrancy in favor of a more neo-orthodox view of Scripture and confessions. This article needs to be revised using sources from the Confession of 1967 and by churches that have adopted. As is, it contains all kinds of slanders and misrepresentations. I find this article completely unhelpful and people would be better off having never read it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MonarchSequoia ( talk • contribs) 20:25, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
