In the blazon, the mainsail is described as being charged with torts (i.e. circles). This is how it appears in the image as well. However, I'm fairly certain that they are supposed to be stars instead. When googling, it is possible to find some more 'official-looking' coats of arms, and they appear to have stars on them. This is also the case when looking closely at Falklands stamps and coins with images of the coat of arms. For example, look closely at the coat of arms on the webpage of the Falkland Islands Association ( https://www.fiassociation.com/article.php/532). The objects on the mainsail are definitely more star-like. It's difficult to find any solid information on the blazon of the arms. But perhaps someone more adept at doing this kind of thing could correct the information here? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.147.191.47 ( talk) 08:07, 28 August 2018 (UTC)

The badge of the Falkland Islands Defence Force is an earlier coat of arms design; this should be mentioned. Nedrutland ( talk) 16:10, 24 July 2021 (UTC)
