Coat of Arms

I know it can be seen in Oland's mais article. But shouldn't this one, about Oland's Heraldry, displaying other four coats of arms, display Oland's one? -- 189.24.252.196 ( talk) 22:04, 19 June 2011 (UTC) reply

History

the confused CoA

According to [1] the original 1560 CoA was similar to that used today (the sv.wiki page mentions that there is a text from 1562 with this blazon). At some point between 1569 and 1880 the two roe deer confusion started. / Lokal _ Profil 15:26, 1 February 2012 (UTC) reply

I'm not sure where the 1884 date comes from, apart from this being the year when the encyclopaedia with the image to the right was released. / Lokal _ Profil 15:29, 1 February 2012 (UTC) reply
[2] this book from 1905 contains three separate blazons for each province. These are from pre1594, 1597 and 1583-1595. / 94.193.242.248 ( talk) 17:39, 12 February 2012 (UTC) reply
Note that that source already points out that there seems to be some confusion with regards to the blazon. / 94.193.242.248 ( talk) 17:47, 12 February 2012 (UTC) reply
Image series and a verbatim blazon from 1885 (p.54 from the above mentioned book).
