Are we sure Clongriffin is in Baldoyle?
The Donaghmede article states that the railway line is the boundary between Baldoyle and Donaghmede. And that Clongriffin is being built on Father Collins Park.
On my map there is one sure thing - Fr Collins Park ain't anywhere near Baldoyle!! ( Sarah777 23:29, 23 June 2007 (UTC))
To all Clongriffin Editors, I point out to you that Clongriffin is no more North Donaghmede than it is South Portmarnock, East Balgriffin or West Baldoyle.
It is what it is - a new, largely residential, location in Dublin North East. Clongriffin is in the township of Baldoyle and the District of Donaghmede.
Regardless of what the locals say or think, the details must be correct for Wikipedia. For further information, please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Ireland.Ainenim 11:24, 28 October 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ainenim ( talk • contribs)
Dear Clongriffin Editors and Disgruntled Editor,
On 18th October 2011, I became a member of Wikipedia. As an educator, I know that not only adults but children are frequently using Wikipedia. With that in mind, my plan has been to expand local geographical and historical information.
As a resident of Clongriffin, and having looked at its site, it seemed like the perfect place for me to get to grips with the technicalities. Upon my arrival, the site had obviously been abandoned for over six months and for the most part, offered out-of-date, largely untagged and unreferenced information. It seemed to me that no-one had any interest in it. I fully admit that in my excitement, I did not first learn about discussion pages, and I regret that. Please excuse me for any offence that I may have caused for deleting old information without comment.
Please note, however, that except for expired rail and bus timetables which had gone to default (and which I updated), I stress that I did not delete any tagged or referenced information. I understand now how I might have hurt the feelings of those who had laid out the page in the first instance (for which I was most grateful, because I could not have learned without the basics having been laid before me). When a friend eventually forwarded the following message to me and I was so shocked that I stopped editing and instead began reading Wikipedia regulations, protocol and standard procedures.Ainenim 12:07, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

To Disgruntled Editor, I respond to your message below.
"(Sad - after years of careful writing by community, in 4 days this was "dolled up" - 250+ edits, some ok material and some pure marketing - I guess the developers trying again after Priory Hall (user does not know normal conventions). Repairs begin..)""
As I said, I regret that I deleted community writings without comment. I plead ignorance. However, I must remind you that the information was largely out of date and speculative. For example, the chemist and the Commercial Court Case are both closed. Since Quinnsworth changed hands, all plans to open in Clongriffin have been thwarted. Due to severe budgeting issues, HSE currently have no plans on moving to Clongriffin, etc, etc.
You stated that I don’t “know the normal conventions” yet it seems that you don’t either. Your remark about the site having been “dolled up” is not in keeping with the Wikipedia’s SummaryStrategic Priorities which are as follows: “Stabilize infrastructure, Increase participation, Improve quality, Increase reach and Encourage innovation”.
Also, the Wikimedia Foundation targets for 2015 are as follows: “Increase the total number of people served to 1 billion, Increase the number of Wikipedia articles we offer to 50 million; Ensure information is high quality by increasing the percentage of material reviewed to be of high or very high quality by 25 percent; Encourage readers to become contributors by increasing the number of total editors who make at least 5 edits per month to 200,000; Support healthy diversity in the editing community by doubling the percentage of female editors to 25 percent and increase the percentage of Global South editors to 37 percent”.
While I admit that I erred, thankfully I actually did not indulge in Wiki vandalism because my intentions were in good faith throughout. I spent many hours tagging and referencing geographical and historical information.
Your “dolled up” comments are sexist and a slur. Accusing me of attempting “pure marketing” and being a “developer” are also slurs. ( If I was a developer, I’d have made it my business to update the www.clongriffin.ie and Gerry Gannon sites first. I certainly wouldn’t have sat up until 3 am, grappling with extensive tagging and referencing geography and history articles.) In one message, you have caused defamation of my character and your comments are entirely unsupported by Wikipedia policy. Please see Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers. If you continue to write about me in a slanderous way, I will report you.
Furthermore, you have no right to associate me with the unfortunate events of Priory Hall. Please note that Belmayne, Priory Hall, Clongriffin and The Coast are part of the Northern Fringe Project. They are each housing estates/developements independent of each other and are entitled to each have their own Wikipedia sites. It is entirely up to you if you want to create a Priory Hall site. In the meantime, your comments warrant Wikipedia’s recommendation, which is to Move It Elsewhere.

Hi there,
I agree with a lot of Aineim's changes and think it they have really benefited the Clongriffin page with some great notes of historical interest particularly. Well done.
