"Clodius Albinus was proclaimed Roman Emperor upon the assassination of Commodus by the legions in Britain and Spain." This is ambiguous: Did the legions assassinate Commodus? Or did the legions proclaim Clodius emperor?

This article appears to contradict what is said at the Pertinax and Septimius Severus articles. According to those Pertinax was followed by Septimius as emperor. I have found no reference to this person being Roman Emperor at the Roman Empire page, so I must presume this article is incorrect, unless someone would like to correct me. I have added the title " Usurper of the Roman Empire" as it is used in the Pescennius_Niger article. Clodius is also listed in the List of Roman usurpers. Manfi 16:25, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
The article says he was "a skilful gladiator": Does that mean one of these? Or is it a reference to prowess with a sword? It needs clarifying, as (I would have thought) the former would be unlikely. Moonraker12 ( talk) 17:39, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
