Terrible treatment of their workers

In the 1960s my father, John C. Schippman, called every Friday a Black Friday because of the layoffs of men nearing retirement. My father started in the mailroom at age 16 in 1927 and worked his way up to manager of the largest dept. He was fired just before reaching retirement in 1967.
