In episode 11 of Luke Cage season 1, Sugar (Sean Ringgold) says, "Yo, Lopes, escort the night nurse here downstairs", referring to Claire Temple. Is it worth mentioning that here? Kailash29792 ( talk) 07:10, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
The first MCU Netflix series where she does not appear. She has explained why. -- Kailash29792 (talk) 07:09, 24 April 2017 (UTC)
That is a really whitewashing way to cover her actions, and is a pretty toxic way to address it.
She spent the beginning of the season stomping all over his boundaries, refusing to dignify them, and employs some pretty noxious emotional manipulation ("your father isn't an ogre you can blame for your issues, you're the ogre now, he'd be ashamed of you").
The section should be reworded to make that clear, as it's presented in the show -- she is unable (or unwilling) to empathize with him, projects her own issues with her parents onto him (repeatedly), and emotionally tortures him. 38.134.125.11 ( talk) 17:42, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
