Why is the plural "elfs" being used in this article rather than "elves"? Can someone give a citation that this is correct? I'm changing it otherwise. Applejuicefool ( talk) 15:06, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
Last time I checked this page, not too long ago, it was EXTREMELY lacking. Well done and thanks to those who have contributed to it's contruction. -- Kurtle ( talk) 21:36, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 2 external links on
Christmas elf. Please take a moment to review
my edit. If necessary, add {{
cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{

to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{

The article as I post this gives two different years for Louisa May Alcott's unpublished work "Christmas Elves": 1850 and 1856. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a definitive answer doing a Google search. There are seemingly quality sources for both. Alcott's Wikipedia article doesn't even mention the work, variously described online as an unpublished (or rejected) book, short story, or poem. Her home is a historic site and museum in Concord, Massachusetts. On its website, there is no mention of "Christmas Elves," but they do publish an 1876 poem of hers called (perhaps retitled?) "Merry Christmas" that features elves. See it at http://www.louisamayalcott.org/witandwisdom_holiday.html Maybe one of you Wiki sleuths can contact the museum to see if they can solve this mystery. I am tossing this out there. 5Q5 ( talk) 15:59, 27 November 2016 (UTC)
