According to the IWA site, [1] there are 13 locks along the navigation. Can anyone confirm if this is the case? Struds 01:02, 19 January 2006
"The word chunker derives from the Chelmer and Blackwater. A chunker is a wooden channel or pipe built to take streams beneath the Navigation. This word has so far not been found in any dictionaries; it may be unique to the C&B and was apparently in use when the canal was built. They were so called because they were made from chunks of wood."
I've removed this for the following reasons 1 it actualy says in it that the word not been found in any dictionary 2 It makes little sense 3 it is irelevent Struds 14:30, 7 November 2006
