This article ("Charlevoix Railway") is about the railway line from Quebec City to Charlevoix. "Charlevoix tourist train" is about the passenger service that operates on that line. The same company owns the rail infrastructure and the passenger train. I don't see the rationale for separating the two - it's kind of like having an article on Amtrak, and another on "Amtrak passenger trains."
Please note that I have started a concurrent request to rename "Charlevoix tourist train" to "Train de Charlevoix" which would be made irrelevant if this merge is approved. Madg2011 ( talk) 04:35, 22 February 2019 (UTC)
As I have begun researching and added in historical information about, specifically, the passenger service itself along the line, I feel that the merger of this page with the railway it operates on is inappropriate as it now has the potential to expand. Despite the current passenger service being synonymous with the current rail company, historically, the passenger service along this route was not synonymous with all service on the line, meaning it differs significantly from your Amtrak example. Until 1971 freight operated as far as Clermont while passenger service terminated at La Malbaie. I would recommend against the merger. Thank you for renaming the page to "Train de Charlevoix," it is much more appropriate, especially for a more universal page about passenger services along the line. Thank you for your consideration!
