The Eye-witness

13 August 2011 - removed external link to "The Eye-witness" because it went to a 1920's novel of the same name. Cannot currently find an online version of the collected essays. However, the University of Buckingham is currently engaged in a project to digitise the magazines published by Charles Dickens. The Eye-witness essays are serialised in the title "All the Year Round". They can be read in scanned form at the moment at the beta site Dickens Journals Online, and will be available for download when the project is completed in February/March next year. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.150.77.168 ( talk) 15:06, 13 August 2011 (UTC) reply

Praise from Ruskin

John Ruskin wrote a letter to the London Times in 1851. In it he protested against the Times's criticism of Pre-Raphaelite paintings. Ruskin praised Collins' " Convent Thoughts" to the point where he said that he wished that he owned it, if only for the correct imitation of nature that it displays. 96.248.101.32 ( talk) 15:01, 4 May 2018 (UTC)DeMikeal Brown. reply
