I don't understand the need for a move of this page. Is the artist really so famous that they're likely to be confused with a well-publicized, well sold album? Usually disambiguation pages are reserved for really complex subjects with 3-5 or more possible targets, and simpler cases can be handled with two "For the artist/album, see..." links on the album/artist pages.
I just don't see the need, and I don't see any discussion to speak of. Maybe I missed something, though... -- nae'blis (talk) 09:44, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Shouldn't death metal be added as a genre? The album to me sounds like a mixture of death metal and groove metal. Also Ian Christe's book Sound of the Beast: The Complete Headbanging History of Heavy Metal, lists Chaos A.D. on the death metal page. 68.103.160.33 ( talk) 17:59, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
i think industrial death metal should be one of the genres.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.32.220.148 ( talk) 12:57, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
Roots has two different references for it being death metal. If Roots can be labeled as such I really don't see why Chaos A.D. can't when its clearly more in that style? 174.238.64.252 ( talk)
Honestly cannot stand the bureaucracy involved with citing vague sources from music 'critics' who don't fully understand what they're talking about. If we're going to refer to the 'allmusic' guide for 'death metal' then at least refer to the album as 'alternative metal' since that's the 'top style' for the allmusic page. Nonetheless, if you simply Google 'Sepultura "groove metal" you'll find references from fans, reviewers, metal critics about how it's a 'post-thrash' or 'groove metal' album evolved from their primitive thrash/death origins. And in addition - listen to an album like Morbid Angel 'Altars Of Madness' and see how the characteristics fit the descriptions on the 'death metal' wiki page rather than the 'groove metal' wiki page, then likewise see how Chaos AD fits the 'groove metal' characteristics. It's absolutely idiotic to rely on incorrect facts from an individual person rather than obvious common sense. A collective on rateyourmusic.com have voted the genre majority as 'groove metal', it sounds like groove metal to me and many other actual metal listeners, it's a groove metal album! End of story. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.109.233.82 ( talk) 08:56, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
This needs to be moved to Chaos A.D., no need for dab. RandySavageFTW ( talk) 22:59, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
If you want a reference for death metal just look at Allmusic, Ian Christe's heavy metal or Daniel's the encyclopedia of heavy metal. 174.253.130.124 ( talk) —Preceding undated comment added 03:11, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
Before adding genres, could people clarify with a source how it's added. We need sources specific to this album before we add sources to it per WP:RS, WP:OR, WP:SUBJECTIVE, WP:V. Currently the article does not have a clear set genre, so we shouldn't put anything specific in the infobox. Any further thoughts? Andrzejbanas ( talk) 14:08, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
Just to let you guys know, I've added groove metal to the genre box and referenced it.- Teh Thrasher ( talk) 08:18, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
