According to this youtube video,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahtRI-_A1j8. UHF channel 70-83 did not get removed in 1983 instead it was removed in 1987. Also the Radioshack UHF transmitter device was introduced in 1985 not the early 1980s and was idscontinued in 1987 after the FCC sold them for use with land mobile services.

Ken choo:, YouTube videos aren’t reliable sources. The ITU decision was made in 1982. If you find a link to an FCC or Congressional edict, that would be a usable source.
