Miao dao/Changdao
This page says that
Miao dao is a mistaken name for Changdao, but Miao dao says that it's an actual sword whose name is sometimes mistakenly applied to earlier weapons such as the Changdao. Not necessarily an error, but some clarification is needed.

Supportboth the move of this page to the undisambiguated title Changdaoand the move of the disambiguation page to Changdao (disambiguation). Clear primary topic.

I'm of two minds as to whether we should keep the DAB, but see no great harm in overwriting it rather than moving it to Changdao (disambiguation). On the other hand it's far better to overwrite the DAB page now rather than to move it now and then later delete it, because as soon as we move it we start running the risk that other sites and old versions of Wikipedia pages might link to it at its new title. The current DAB has no significant history to preserve. So no change of main vote, but weak support for deleting the DAB if others think it matters.

I'm more open than most to having redlinks or non-article entries on dab pages if they assist users who might be looking for more info on a topic (e.g.,
Ibinda (disambiguation), a creation of mine). However, I don't see the redlinked articles at
Changdao going anywhere (even the Chinese Wikipedia doesn't have articles on them). They are subsets of
Changdao County and that article can cover them fine. — AjaxSmack 01:26, 26 July 2010 (UTC)reply
