I'm not the most neutral guy when it comes to Dhammakaya sect, just getting it out of the way. So 6 out of 7 sources of this article came directly from Dhammakaya publication, of which the subject belongs to. This is akin to quoting Scientology book for L. Ron Hubbard biography. Suredeath ( talk) 01:07, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
I have recently added citations about Chandra Khonnokyoong, most of which are readily available on the internet, to assuage Suredeath's suspicions. They now form half of the cited works. If there is no further discussion, I will be removing the POV tag at New Year. Thanissaro ( talk) 08:08, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
You're not addressing the problematic sources, you're adding new ones. Thought legitimate, they didn't rectify the problems with the original cited from. Suredeath ( talk) 22:25, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
To satisfy Suredeath it would be really helpful if he could say what exactly about the data is controversial – and be specific about what would satisfy him. The information cited from the Dhammakaya Foundation's own works only refers to places, dates and names. The word controversy is usually applied to conclusions about the issues arising from the data – not the data itself. Generally speaking biographical data is written by people who know the subject of the biography. Thus Suredeath could perhaps find many other biographical articles on wikipedia where it would be very hard to justify the removal of POV tags. Thanissaro ( talk) 10:45, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
I have now made many edits to improve readability, accessibility and neutrality. I believe the tags can be removed now and have done so. S Khemadhammo ( talk) 03:19, 23 June 2016 (UTC)

One of the more familiar and outlandish tales about Mae Chi Chandra (and the one most often ridiculed by Dhammakaya critics) has got to be the claims of her supernatural abilities, specifically how she deflected bombs from aerial raids, saving Bangkok during World War II. This is not mentioned in the article at all. -- Paul_012 ( talk) 05:34, 9 September 2017 (UTC)
I'd like to use shortened footnotes in the article using the {{sfn}} template. I think this will look more organized. Let me know what you guys think.-- Farang Rak Tham ( talk) 15:57, 7 October 2017 (UTC)

She had no formal education, as this was uncommon for Thai women in those days: suggest "Like most Thai women in those days she had no formal education".
Luang Por Dhammajayo and Mae Ji Chandra took responsibility for the finances of the establishment, and the lay-supporter, who later ordained as Luang Por Dattajivo, took responsibility for building on the site: saying "the" lay-supporter implies he's already been mentioned; should this be "a" lay-supporter, or does it refer to someone named above?
That's everything; the article is in good shape. Mike Christie ( talk – contribs – library) 12:04, 5 February 2018 (UTC)

The previously used image was deleted from Commons, but a non-free image could be used under fair use terms. To upload a file locally, use the Wikipedia:File Upload Wizard. Choose "This is a copyrighted, non-free work, but I believe it is Fair Use" and then select "historic portrait of a person no longer alive". The image should be scaled down to a low resolution, but if not a bot should take care of that. -- Paul_012 ( talk) 04:12, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
